Ribeye Foil Oven Method | How To Create A Video Animation for Your Business in Under 10 Minutes
Using Animoto, an easy to use video editing program I made a great steak dinner for the family last night and a video walking through the recipe in under ten minutes. I started by preparing the ingredients.
- Two Ribeye Steaks
- One Pound Baby Potatoes
- Half Pound Sweet Peppers
- Quarter Pound Baby Carrots
- Pepper Jack Cheese
- Garlic Salt
- Italian Seasoning
- Olive Oil
- Other Seasonings By Choice
- Aluminum Foil
I mixed our vegetables and seasonings together after dropping a couple tablespoons of olive oil on our steaks. Wrapping both steaks individually in aluminum foil the steaks went into a preheated oven set to 400 F. One of the shots in the video where you can hear the steaks sizzling is about 25 to 30 minutes in when the steak had just reached medium rare. Overall the family wanted their steak to be more well done so we ended up cooking the steaks for about an hour and twenty minutes to completion.
How to Make The Video Below
Throughout the cooking process I took around 100 photos of the process and a few short video clips. Next time I plan to use a stabilizing tool like stand for the video camera to avoid any shakiness in the filming process. The process with Animoto went like this:
- Choose Storyboard Template (1 Minute)
- Upload Images & Video Clips (2 Minutes)
- Arrange Text Over Frames (3 Minutes)
The first draft of the video was up in six minutes. After this step I went back and expanded some of the frames with written text to give viewers time to read the steps. By the end of the project, I have about a minute of footage on how to make a steak and potato meal in the oven that had my family of five full and happy with the great flavor this meal brings to the table.
Next, I’m going to expand our video marketing capabilities with more videos like this one and a recent project done with Jolly Green Oil. Their video, entitled “Best CBD Products in the United States” is on their website and was the other video I worked on this weekend.
How to Use Video Animation to Market Your Business
I can’t stress this enough, have some fun with your project. I had a great time just making a dinner like this for my family. Getting a project to learn out of the deal was a win to begin with. Animoto is the first of eight video animation software I’ll be demoing this year and I will be posting more videos in the future.
